The 2019 Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon is deep, plush and super-expressive. Black cherry, leather, spice, menthol and dried herbs are some of the many notes that flesh out in the glass. There is plenty of depth and intensity, but all the elements are so well balanced that I think the 2019 will drink well with minimal cellaring. The 2019 Estate is shaping up to be a real jewel of a wine.

A nicely packed version, with currant, mulberry and blackberry notes forming a prodigious core, while bittersweet cocoa, tobacco and licorice root score the finish. Best from 2023 through 2035. 2,680 cases made.
