This is a beautiful blend of 89% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Cabernet Franc, 4% Petit Verdot, and 3% Merlot. With a bright, inviting nose of violet and rose, it delves into a palate of refined tension and supple tannin. The core of red fruit is cohesive and earthy, with notes of dried herb, graphite and a hint of cigar. Enjoy best from 2029-2039. - Virginie Boone

Lastly, the flagship is the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Poetry, which checks in as 89% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Merlot, and 4% each of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot that's all from a site in Stags Leap. Lots of pure crème de cassis, ripe black raspberries, flowers, spice box, and chalky minerality emerge on the nose, and it hits the palate with a refined, full-bodied, incredibly polished style that brings serious intensity, yet with no sensation of weight or heaviness. It's brilliant today, but it really deserves 3-4 years of bottle age, and as with all of the wines here, it is going to evolve gracefully for 20+ years. 1471 cases.

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Poetry emerges from the highest blocks of Lede's estate in Stags Leap. The volume is very much turned up here. Huge fruit and equally huge tannins are front and center. Blackberry jam, gravel, spice, menthol, crushed rocks and incense open, but only reluctantly. This tannic behemoth needs time, but I imagine it will always be a powerhouse.
