Layers of fruit, vanilla, butterscotch and oak toast give this full-bodied wine plenty to explore. Its almost-thick texture wraps in poached pears, toasted almonds and honey flavors that fill the palate and linger on the finish. The sweet effect of oak makes it suitable in lieu of dessert.

Each of the three whites from Migration displays a pale but brilliant straw hue. The 2021 Chardonnay Sonoma Coast is fresh with highly floral aromatics of ripe peach, salted grapefruit, and a touch of vanilla spice. Medium to full-bodied, with pure, ripe tropical fruit on the palate, including papaya skin and pithy citrus, it has a chalky texture and is an attractive, fruit-forward style that's not bogged down. It's meant for fresh youthful drinking.
