The 2018 Chablis Les Vaillons 1er Cru is precise and focused on the nose, this cuvée displaying a more noticeable oyster shell note, laced with citrus lemon and almond. The palate is well balanced with maybe just a little reduction that needs to be addressed. Good depth, and spicier than expected, especially on the persistent finish, which lingers in the mouth. Excellent.

The slightest flinty reduction accompanies ripe Mirabelle plum fruit on the nose of this wine. The palate is expressive in its juiciness, concentration and fresh core. It conveys cool freshness and a zesty texture along with a slightly creamy touch. Textured and vivid, the wine offers ripeness, generous structure and a dry finish.
