Soter North Valley Pinot Noir 2014
Immediately engaging with a nose of plums, spice, black cherries and earth. The wine is ripe and rich, but with good underlying acidity. Similar themes on the palate as expressed in the aromatic profile, with dark chocolate notes. Brambly, darkly fruited and very showy as a young wine, it has medium body and finishes strong with balanced tannins.
Wine SpectatorFirm and chewy, with a sleek, focused core of cherry and raspberry fruit, picking up clove and pepper notes as the finish persists with élan. Best from 2018 through 2023. 8,900 cases made.
