Domaine Louis Michel & Fils Chablis 2012
|Brand||Domaine Louis Michel & Fils|
Wine AdvocateLike its Petit Chablis counterpart, bottled only two weeks before I tasted, the Michel 2012 Chablis displays more bitterness by way of citrus pip and at the same time less juicy brightness of citrus pulp than that ostensibly lesser sibling. Stony, earthy notes lend a sense of diffusion to the finish of what is admittedly still an impressively dense and persistent expression of its appellation. I suspect this will be best drunk by the end of next year, but it might not yet have recovered from bottling and would doubtless merit revisiting later this year.
