It's no secret that the 2011 harvest was one of the more challenging on record for Napa Valley vintners and growers. Although Napa Valley is known for producing consistent quality wines year after year, each vintage does display its own individual qualities and character - this is the exciting part about agriculture (and ultimately why we put a date on the bottle). The cool 2011 growing season resulted in wines that showcase fresh, bright fruit flavors and elegant, approachable tannins, yet still structured, balanced and age-worthy.
