Château Larose Trintaudon Haut Médoc 2009
|Brand||Château Larose Trintaudon|
Wine JournalTasted at the Cru Bourgeois 2009 tasting in London. The Larose-Trintaudon 2009 has a very refined, « classic » bouquet with sous-bois, tobacco and broody dark fruits. The delineation is terrific. The palate is medium-bodied with very fine tannins, great tension with crisp black, mineral-laden fruits on the finish. Bon vin!
Wine SpectatorOffers a lively mix of damson plum, black cherry and grilled savory herb notes, all framed by lightly singed cedar. Solid, with good acidity adding length on the finish. Drink now through 2014. 75,000 cases made
Wine AdvocateThese two cuvees from Larose Trintaudon are both excellent, with the Larose Trintaudon a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot. This has always been one of the more widely available cru bourgeois in the United States, and the 2009 is a particularly attractive and charming wine, with fragrant strawberry and black cherry fruit as well as hints of wood smoke and spice box. It is medium-bodied, soft, silky and ideal for drinking over the next 5-6 years.
